Re: Some recent work
Chris - I thought that looked like a capital "A" incorporated into the piece, so I had assumed maybe their club name started with "A".beeson1987 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 10, 2023 4:26 am They're called 'The Divergent MCC' based in Lincolnshire, uk.
But I guess I was wrong. Thanks!

Re: Some recent work
m pretty sure its a capital A too. Unsure of the actual meaning behind the design etc. The guy i dealt with gave me a logo used on the clubs patch, and i just adapted it to make it work dxf format.

Another hanging sign. Created for a local tattoo shop.
Left bare metal finish, awaiting the customers paint scheme. Centre text has been made double sided so can be read from both sides. Hence the white panel.

Re: Some recent work
Nice work! I assume we are looking at the same side in both images. What does the other side look like?

Re: Some recent work
Nice work!
You could actually make the entire sign double sided. Cut two rounds and sandwich white or whatever color between them.
Weld one to the outer rim, insert color panel and then bolt the two together.

Re: Some recent work
Yes david, they are the same side. One has a ring around it for added strength as is going to be a sign that is hung outside the customers shop. The other is a sign that is fixed to the internal wall for decoration. The idea of just having the insert was that 'The Art Of Ink' was readable from both sides, the customer wanted the design to be as open as i could get it, hence why i didnt place to of them back to back.

Very nice! Modified an existing bench or built the bench from scratch?

Re: Some recent work
Nice work Chris! I'm guessing this is a scratch build. My question is how did you bend the rectangular tubing? Or did you get pre-bent pieces and cut and weld them together?

Re: Some recent work
All made from scratch. We have a set of rollers in the workshop i used to roll the box section. But couldnt get it enough, so had to cut every 1/2 inch and bend manually untill desired curve. Turned out pretty good imo.

Re: Some recent work
When you sliced it every 1/2" to bend, did you weld in filler pieces and then grind smooth? Yes - it looks great!beeson1987 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 2:41 am All made from scratch. Yes, cut the thickness of grinding disc, then welded and smoothed.

Amazing looking bench, great work! Do you build the entire bench yourself or customize a premade bench?
