Tom - I was helping one of the buys over at the Inkscape for Crafters Facebook group, and he mentioned that Inkscape had a Flatten tool, and I said it did not. He said - "sure it does" - and posted a screen shot. I couldn't find it in my Inkscape version, so had to look it up and it turns out that it was not introduced until Inkscape version 1.3.

I am still using Inksckape version 1.2.2, so that explained it. It looks like a neat tool - so maybe I will install the 1.3 version on one of my PCs just to check it out. I am used to the look and feel of version 1.2.2, so I will continue with that version as my "go-to".

You are quite welcome! I still need to do an upgrade to version 1.3 to check it out for myself - but it does look very interesting.
