From looking at the underside of your cut the arc is really wandering.

Is your air supply clean and dry?

Have a look at your electrode shaft and inside your nozzle/tips....do you see black deposits?

If so your air supply is not clean enough and you will fight problems like this forever.

I have had great success cutting .500" aluminum and find that a little higher cut height can often help for some reason.

Best of luck.

Thanks weld guy I've been thinking that was the issue unfortunately I haven't been able to find a reasonable air dryer and set of filters to get the job done right i've posted on here before and i've gotten pretty much the same answers. But your response will def have me saving my money.

Cutting at 100AMPs with Thermal Dynamic AMP specific consumables.
