It seem more like an "Welding Arc" an is approx 1/16 or so back from the pierce or exit point. And seems to only do it on circle cuts (holes) it on and Shop Sabre HyDef Plasma should cut better even tried air/air and O2/air but had same results

Is it a MARK or a Blow out(crater)????

Are you useing a leadin???

Are you using a DWELL at the start OR finish of the cut??

THERE are many things that could cause it IF it is a crater and not just a mark.

What nozzle and shield are you using? Have you changed nozzle types lately?

While HyDefinition plasma is a Hypertherm trade name.....you did not specify which high definition plasma system you have.

With all Hypertherm high definition systems there is a co-ordinated plasma gas and amperage rampdown at the end of each cut cycle. The burn on the bottom is caused by your cnc machine shutting the plasma off at the same time that the motion stops......so the torch stops moving but the plasma (controlled by the microprocessor in the power supply and the gas flow control) keeps arcing for between 50 and 130 miliseconds (depending on the amperage setting and the make and model of the plasma). This is part of the process that resolidifies the hafnium on the electrode...which greatly extends its life.

If your cnc is capable of it....you need to program an advance off for the plasma that shuts off the plasma before right at the end of cut kerf crossing.....yet keep the machine motion going for .150" to .200" after the plasma off command is issued. On industrial cnc machines this is usually an automated function.....and it will solve your end of cut bottom arcing.

Let me know what plasma system is on your machine and I may be able to offer some better help.
