“Emergycy alarm” Fangling F2300A CNC Controller

Post by treerot789 »

Hello. I have a Fangling F2300A CNC controller for plasma cutting. From times to times I get “Emergycy alarm” error on the screen and I can’t use the machine anymore unless I shut it off and then turn it on.

The emergency stop button is not pressed, as I know that people often get this alarm when the button is pressed. I tried to follow the instructions from the manual too, which tell to change something in the system definition parameters, from green to red or red to green, but with no result.

Can anyone please help me regarding this problem? Thanks!

I suspect it is electrical noise. How is your Fangling controller connected to the computer...LPT printer cable, Ethernet cable, USB?

Are you able to pinpoint a certain turn of events that makes this happen? For example...the moment the torch fires

The F2300A controller is separated from the cnc machine, so in other words it’s integrated in a box which stays 2 meters away from the machine. It’s connected with cables like how the old monitors were connected.

I get this error always when the torch is going left

Interesting. If it only does it when traveling left are you able to make this happen during a dry run (torch off)?

Yes. This randomly happened to me when I was moving the torch to the left and it left me surprised as I wasn’t thinking this was going to happen when it wasn’t turned on

Ok, so how frequently does this occour>

Does it happen the moment you move the torch left or does it move left for a distance and then happen?

It happens randomly from times to times. I am able to cut the metal sheet but during the cut maybe it happens around 10 times. Let’s say it happens now and then happens again in 20 minutes. This while cutting a 3x1.5 meters sheet with hundreds of small pieces. If it would be to cut bigger pieces it wouldn’t happen so often it’s clear👍🏼. Sometimes it happens one after the other lets say few minutes .. It doesn’t have a pattern, i don’t know.. 😓

Well that's disappointing. You may have to dig deep to find this one.

-check the wiring tot he E-Stop button to be sure no fray strands of wire are contacting anything
-try a new LPT printer cable to see if there is a problem with your current one
-check the settings window to be sure E-Stop is set to pin 3 and set to NO (normally open) see image below

Thanks for all the advice. I tried the 3rd option and it was configured as in the picture. I will try to check the other first options. Thanks
