MACH 3, Adding optional stops to program

Post by miketodesca »

Hi,
I am running some parts, fairly large quantity, 5/8 thick material. I would like to be able to add optional stops after X amount of parts so that we can check parts and be able to start where we left off. Is it possible to set this thru the control, or is there a way to do it in sheetcam?

I also have a problem when I start the PC. I am unable to jog the machine unless I go to the settings screen and enable jog. Is there any way to "lock" this setting so that it does not need to be set each time we start up.

Thanks for any help.

have you thought about putting in a "tool change operation" so the table would go to a home park position for your checks. Then when run is pushed in resumes the cutting on the next operation in the g code. I did something similar by breaking up my parts into groups and cutting each group by itself and going back to X 0.0 and Y 0.0 position. ready to start the next group.
