Cuts Fail

Post by KIDTech »

This is still happening and I am not sure why. The cuts start well and look good but there will be usually one spot where it stops cutting for a bit. My air pressure is good as is my air is clean and dry. Any help would be greatly appreciated and to point out it starts about the mouth and works toward the belly. I also noticed an odd "wobbly" cut on the end of the opener and discovered my y-axis to have a little play in it so that is fixed.

A little more information is needed to help much. Do you have your ground attached directly to your sheet? Do you have a THC? What are the cut parameters you are using for this cut? Almost forgot, what is the material gauge?

Ground is directly attached, THC won't work still. Bought a Proma but can't even get it to read the voltage and 1/4" material. I slowed it down and it cut through so hopefully that was the issue. Just find it weird that it matters since it cut most of it out until the tail end.

When that happens to me usually it is the electrode or nozzle failing.
I think that moisture will also cause this to happen.

Moisture will cause skips as evident. I had the same problem, it took a long time for problem to manifest. Once air filtration was improved the issue was alleviated.
