Actually, that appears to be a Rottweiler, not a doberman. Yes they are great deterants, I have one that is all of 130 lbs. She looks scary but in reallity she is just a big baby and would prolly just lick ya to death, lol. I also have a 35 lbs black labs that growls and barks head *ss off at onyone suspicious and yet everyone is still more affraid of the Rottweiler which is usually not barking at them at all. Another thing you could do for deterant is just post a sign up with a picture of a big dog on it saying something about beware of the dog.
