We often get calls or emails from people asking about what they need to buy to retrofit the used table they just bought.
its our often unpleasant job to tell them they wasted their money and what they have is basically junk.

We have offered for years to tell you what the upside and downside of a used machine is and give what we feel is a a fair range of price based on its current age and design .

So BEFORE you write the check or bid on the auction, use the message form on our website or even an RFS and give us as much info as you can . We have seen hundreds ,if not more, upgrades and reworks

So take advance of our knowledge and years of being in the industry and drop us a line . You will get an honest response . It may not be what you want to hear. There are old (really old) technologies out there that force you to gut the whole machine.
Chances of saving or reusing old controls , old servos or motors and old wiring are real low . Sometimes the only thing of value is the table structure. Even then a lot of older commercial tables were built with the concept ""heavier is more commercial " so you are facing trying to move a really heavy ganty up to modern speeds . Or as we like to say turning a dump truck into a sport car

Will we try to sell you a cost effective controller....of course, but it will come with a recommendation and it its not worth it we tell you that too.

Gotta run. Have to a tell a guy that bought a used china import 2 X 2 "plasma table" that its a total waste of money. Small Steppers driving lead screws (too slow), narrow ganty (no room for a normal Z), with a HAND CRANK Z and an old used Plasma cutter.Whew!

Great advice and a great service to offer as many get caught up in the buying process and overlook so many important aspects related to the equipment. Could save some folks a lot of time and money
