Old dog learned a new trick.

Post by abmetal »

I was at the welding supply and saw these magnets hanging on the wall. So I bought a couple and tried them out this morning. THEY'RE GREAT! I'm sure a lot of folks probably already know about them but after using other magnets, weights, clamps, etc. for years, for sheet metal work, these are much quicker and easier to use. Wish I'd have known about them years ago...if they made them then. Just thought I'd pass it along.

Nice find... I just saw the video where both hold 225lbs...i wish they had a release mechanism, would be great for picking up parts off the table for sure.

Pretty cool find. Those would certainly come in handy for holding a piece to the bench for slag removal or surface finishing :Like

That was my first thought - that they had a quick release button at the top. In any case, nice find!!

Nice ! Maybe you could make some cloth socks for them that you could pull off to release the metal dust .
