What is your deadline for the file to be received? I can do it, but not before July 20th or so.

Here are several auto traces from VectorQ. Perhaps one of them could be edited to produce an acceptable result.

Nice work David. I would go with the one showing glasses, because it would be easier to link the eyes, and nose, and mouth to the face.

Ah, you want to convert this pic. I remember now. I can do it, but there are guys who do this for a living, and they would probably be BETTER and FASTER than I would be, at producing the dxf file.

The problem with a blank white face like this is that you need to add in a shadow that looks natural, but connects all of the "islands" so the piece does not fall apart when it is cut.

This looks great!!
I have shown the individual pieces in different colors for clarity. After you cut them, paint them all same color and then attach to your backer. I would use something like a sharpie pen holder to draw your outlines onto the backer to make it easier to position the individual pieces when you attach them.

Your conversion looks really good low_hydrogen, not sure too many people could do much better than that. Combined with a backer as David mentioned and I think this will turn out really great.

Very much agree!! He is working from the original photo in which the ears are not really visible. I think it turned out great, and I look forward to seeing some photos of the finished project once he gets it cut and painted - assuming that he goes with the layered approach. It could be done with a single layer, but would not be as nice an end result - in my opinion.
