looking for a poermax 1000 machine torch. Is it worth upgrading to the duramax torch?

The Duramax will give you cheaper consumable and cleaner cuts, I'd say go for it.

I would say the Duramax torch is worth the money for sure. I have always been impressed with the cut quality from the Duramax torch.

Well, I ended finding a new one on Ebay for 400$ comes with a start-up set of consumables. I also found another original machine torch as well and bought that as well as I still have a lot of consumables for that.

I have been very pleased with the performance and cut quality of the Duramax torches on my 45xp and PM85. I think you will be quite happy with your purchase.
