A memorial bench made for a local man, featuring his bentley and mclaren. He also enjoyed a Gordons pink gin 😁.

Really nice work there!!!

How much do you charge for something like that?? Just curious...will be doing something similar soon.

It is very surprising some customers don't have an issue with pricing, then some always think its way too much. It can be a bit of a balancing act.

I would expect a bench like that to cost around $800.00 to $1,000.00. Am I close?

Be very careful about using the HD LOGO in your work. They are touchy about people profiting from their logos and trademarks without first acquiring their written permission.

Just asking the question in general for the bench itself...not worried about what is actually cut out. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the great feedback, il have some different ones done next week.
These are very popular, we only charge £300, which is roughly £380 usd (price is fair for me, and the customer).

Chris - that is a bargain price!! You must have extremely low overhead. Over here that would probably double that price. Keep it up!!

Yes, but what is the "£"? is that a "lire," or a "pound," or what? In which country is this currency used?

Here down under the Australian dollar to the us dollar is 64.5 cents. That is a 35% drop or increase if it were to meet Joe's estimate of the bench price.

Last time I was in the US was back in 2018. The price was the same. Lost $1350 from $5000 for my spending money. The trip cost not quite $5000. Next time I will come with $10,000 at least.

Many years ago, and for a while, I was acting as a US representative for a cop in Adelaide, Australia. He was buying Honda Goldwings and having them shipped to Australia where he would restore them and sell them for a good profit. I never met him, but I purchased 28 motorcycles for him, and moved them to Long Beach, California to be shipped to him. The 28th bike was the last one, as the exchange rate suddenly flipped and it became no longer profitable to buy bikes in the USA and ship them overseas. I was paid $500.00 per bike to go inspect them, arrange for the payment, and move the bikes to the shipper in Long Beach. This was before cell phones. I took digital photos with a low resolution digital camera and sent the images to him via the Internet. He would return a price he was willing to pay, and I would arrange for the purchase.

It was an interesting side hustle! I used my 1996 Honda Goldwing to pick up the Goldwings I was buying. I would tow them to my home on a 4x8 trailer (13 foot with the tongue) behind my Wing.

He heard about me because of connections through the GWRRA motorcycle group. The last bike I moved was in 1999.

It was just one of my many, non-traditional jobs. It was because of this job that I started 888-BIKETOW, a 24 hour dedicated motorcycle towing service, which I ran for 13 years, moving 6,400 motorcycles in that time.
