Start with the make and model of your plasma machine, and the plasma cutting machine that you are using with the table. State the software you are using to make your cuts, and control the cnc table and the torch.

Joe
Plasma:
PlasmaCam 4x4, Samson 510 table, Go Torch, + more
AD-AH-AM-AN-3D-CS-MU-PC - Upgrades

Lasers:
X-TOOL D1 PRO (x 4) F1, S1 (x3), P2 (x2), F1 ULTRA (x2) with conveyors, M1 ULTRA (x2) + accs.
LaserPecker 1 PRO, LP-2, LP-4 + accs
50 Watt GALVO fiber
TYVOK Spider S1 60W Diode Laser 49" x 96"

3D Printers:
CreatBot D600 PRO
Stratasys Fortus 400mc
BIGREP Studio Gen 2
MODIX Big Meter

It would appear that your torch is continuing to fire as it raises to your rapid height and along the rapid paths. You need to check your software and controller function.

I guess my question is, why would you allow it to continue like that without correcting the problem? It seems to have ruined a lot of material.

You may be using the wrong Post Processor for your table. As David observed the plasma off signal is not off at the end of the cut plan. Are you using any cut rules that are at the end of cut, like an over cut action. This may be holding the plasma on signal after the normal cut operation ends for a delay that holds the torch on during the start of rapid movement. the speed of the torch movement is why it is not cutting through the metal.

Tom - I also expect that his rapid height may be greater than his cut height which might cause failure to cut thru, even at normal cut speed. It would also be helpful to know more about his system, controller, software, etc.

Also - to Tom's point - have you made any recent changes to your software that could be causing this problem? Was your table cutting fine before and this is a new problem that just started up? It would be hard for me to believe that you would attempt to cut an entire nested sheet if you were previously having this problem. Are you the one who runs the table, or are you simply asking on behalf of the company you work for? Do you have a separate programmer who may have altered the post processor? We will need to know many more details about your setup in order to really help you to any degree.

Where are you located? I assume outside the US. I am not familiar with either the plasma cutter or controller you show in your photos. How long have you been using this cnc plasma cutter, and have you ever had successful cuts without the "Drag lines"?

I am with Tom on the incorrect post processor. It's as if the post processor was for a cnc mill where the spindle would remain on during the rapid moves and plasma needs it off. The OP is providing very little information unfortunately but my question is....

What post processor are you using? You may need to ask your son who is operating it.

Looks like the very popular Fangling controller.
I have a machine with it.
Sheetcam has IIRC 2 post processors, i am using the first one and it works well.

BTW THC is above the Fangling, it's a smaller model than what comes with them now.

Post up the THC make & model as well as model of your Fangling.
