Tom - this is a super deal for a great looking bender. Well under cost. What is the source for the dies? I've got a JD2 and the dies are expensive.

The dies are from a manufacturer may have been JD Squared. The design is "Gottrikes" I built 2, I was the first when he offered the plans, here is the image from his site. The first was a hand pump type, second was the air over hydraulic. I change the design by machining a roller in place of the slide block JD uses, less friction. I am downsizing due to age :HaHa :HaHa

I believe the Got Trikes bender used Pro-Tools dies, PT 105 was the model bender. Just some info to pass along to the new owner.

I did modify the dies and turned rollers for the tubing, in place of the rub blocks that come with the dies. No grease needed with the rollers. :HaHa :HaHa

I need one of these in my life. I have asked a few shops to bend some 1x1 square tube and they look at me weird!

The plans I used for mine https://www.gottrikes.com/Tube_Bender.htm $18. I would buy the $60 optional pivot parts he sells to. I did modify the plans with a roller in place of the slide block they sell with the dies. My first one is shown as customer build and I was the first to built from his plans.
here are bends of 1" square tubing with commercial dies. a hand truck type cart for the Plasma controller electronic package.

Hydraulic power is awesome. The most impressive thing I have seen is on an aircraft carrier, where massive hydraulic cylinders lift a giant steel platform with jets on it, from the lower level to the upper deck in a matter of seconds. Imagine the power that those cylinders must produce to accomplish that!
