I ordered the Automation Interface Kit - 9-8311 for my Cutmaster 82 but am unsure what all it comes with. The picture shows what appears to be a receptacle that mounts in the back of the machine. Do I need to order a generic plug to wire my THC and TC into? I appreciate any insight you may have.
Thanks

I expect this kit is similar to the CPC upgrade kit for the Hypertherm. This will include the parts to install into your cutter, but you will still need to either build or buy the appropriate torch control cable to connect to your specific table/controller.

David thank you! The "CPC" was the vital bit of info I was missing. Was able to track down everything I needed.
If anyone else needs to put together a CPC cord here's the Digikey parts numbers for the CPC plug.
Plug body. A1358-ND
Backshell clamp. 1-206070-8-ND
Pins. if your wires are 16-18ga A31987-ND
20-24ga A31989-ND

Re: Question about Automation Kit - 9-8311
As I understand it, the above 3 part numbers are required to make a CPC plug, but also a wire entry seal kit is required. The TE Connectivity part number for that part is 213919-2 (sorry, it's not a digikey number). Now it's possible that you can leave out the seal kit and that would mean water could get into the connector more easily. But it still might work.nortonscustoms wrote: ↑Thu Aug 25, 2022 12:35 am David thank you! The "CPC" was the vital bit of info I was missing. Was able to track down everything I needed.
