Hypertherm consumable question

Post by plain ol Bill »

This post is aimed at Jim Colt. Jim can you tell me the primary difference between the 40 and 60 amp shielded type nozzles?

Simply a larger orifice diameter, as well as a slightly different orifice length on the 60 amp nozzle. Each nozzle creates almost the same energy density as measured in amp per square inch.

Thanks Jim - I thought the orifice diameter might be different but I could not find my calipers to check it out.
