Ray - that's what I want to know as well. I get it that you take off the top and fill it with grain. Is it like a bird feeder where as the food is eaten, more falls down into place, or? And it looks like a ladder and shelf on one side. Is that for you to climb up to fill it, or?DieselFumes wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 9:55 am Very nice, I too am interested in how it works, is it auto feeding?
Thanks,

Re: Feeder for Deer
My guess would be you climb up to fill the feeder. This system appears to be run on a timer (12V) that distributes the feed on the ground.
There are also gravity feeders, but my inclination would be that they would be prone to failure and overfeeding?

Re: Feeder for Deer
Yeah the steps are for you to get up top to the standing platform and take bags of corn from your loader.
open the top lid and fill.. set your feed timer to go off 2,3, or 4 times a day for different amounts of time.
I have 1 in the middle of my main track and it holds 2500# of corn. so it will last about 5 months.
this one holds about 700#.
