torchmate 4800
i have a lincoln torchmate 4800. Can anyone tell me how to reverse the torch in the program? Lets say hypothetically i have a cut loss from material falling out (this happens a lot to me when cutting smaller holes) is there a way i can revers the torch in the program before i restart? to prevent the material or the part from not being cut out all the way? sometimes the torch dives because of rust etc. then it breaks away. I just wanna back it up maybe 1/2" and restart.

Do you have a run from line button in your set up. Here is how I do it but I am using CandCNC. I go back to the last M5 line. Make sure the torch is off. Then run from line where the M5 is. Then click turn torch on. A little man cave-ish. It takes some practice but it works. I have saved a lot of material and re-cuts.

That's how I do it. Gotta shut the thc off before you hit run. Then turn it back on after the torch fires.
