When you cut fire rings does anyone coat them? We do powder coating in house but i just wondered what the opinion was on powder coating or not?

there is high temp powders that are good to 1200?.
I have no idea how well they would hold up, maybe you could get a sample and do a test over a weekend.
I mean I know a weekend camping trip is a horrible way to test a product & all... but we all have to make sacrifices to suceed :D

I know im not a fan of the high temp stuff its hit or miss and colors or not great. I might have to just try reg powder and go on a camping trip lol

I forwarded a link of this thread to Bruce (hope you don't mind) maybe he will chime in.
D&S is a PPG dealer, they may have something other than powder that werkz.

Try the high temp coatings from Forest Powder. JUST MAKE SURE NOT TO PHOSPHATE THE METAL!
