I have a Torchmate 1. Is there a way to move the gantry freely by hand. Perhaps
there is a setting that allows that?....thanks in advance

Re: Gantry movement
I don't have a Torchmate, (practicalCNC) but I can move mine by shutting off the control box. I wired up the main power of it to a lightswitch right next to my table and shut it off when I want to move the gantry. Been doing that since day one with no problems, and don't know what I would do without it.
I think I'm the oldest 10 year old boy on the forum...

The only way is to shut off the drive box and move it by hand. The stepper motors lock up with power to them but when they are off you can move it. No way in the software.

Just curious why you want to move it by hand.
