PLASMA SKIPPING DURING CUTTING

Post by tdalechick »

I have attempted about 10 squares redrawn about 5 times with no broken lines and every time my torch gets to cutting good and then it skips. What is causing this problem??? Burn tables has been no help in clearing up this problem for me. I am getting fustrated and I am new to this. Really hoping I can get this problem solved today. Any help would be appreciated.
-I am using a Hypertherm 45 with a burn table with dhc.

Try turning your height control off and cutting one.. manually keep your height around 1/8"..

If it cuts then it's a problem with your height control.. This might not be your answer but you can start eliminating problems..

Is your ground hooked directly to the piece you are cutting?
