Howdy Peeps!
Always had THC issues with this Setup and its almost brand new.
Thermal Dynamics Auto-Cut 200 w XT 301 torch, Mach 3, Custom Lonestar Mini Thc controller and Lonestar Scout Gantry/Table.
From THC unit to computer we get signals. Test mode delivers diagnostic lights and physical torch movement.
Anti-dive is ran through the THC unit and displays a timer when volts out of range and thc is halted
Today it displays that timer regardless but test functions are good. Test functions can move the torch height while cutting.
Peirces and plasma are controlled by thc unit. waiting for arc ok to start pierce timer on mach3
sometimes mach would ignore thc signals from controller and sometimes controller would not run active signals
ive always just had to restart everything (or) use test sequence on controller (or) only click the Visual THC ON/OFF button WHILE "arc ok" was Lit
^this would in turn get the ball rolling and the z axis would start changing numbers
Worked yesterday, not today... always picking when it wants to work... i find no correlation
played with the ports n pins and they all seem correct... thc always on sometimes gets me through the day but not this time...
ethernet ports are all clean
let me know, Thanks!

Re: THC Issues
Thats gotta be ultra frustrating. Not familiar with that system at all, you may be best contacting Lonestar on that one.

Re: THC Issues
Too expensive. Gotta be an easy fix it’s just a communication issue seeing as how it’s intermittentcuttinparts wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 4:37 pm Thats gotta be ultra frustrating. Not familiar with that system at all, you may be best contacting Lonestar on that one.

Re: THC Issues
LONE STAR LONESTAR MINI THC CONTROLLER TORCH HEIGHT CONTROL VOLTAGE REGULATOR
^^^ just for google reasons
problem solved. on the lonestar thc box it hit a bug in the code
menu options are "Antidive, Delay (MS), Test outputs, Error Log"
on the Delay screen it read (0) instead of 0
changed the delay settings a few times and it dropped the parenthesis
mustve been stuck on an if/then with no determined logic
