We have run into issues with our Plasma cutter, when we start running down the table and stop one of the stepper motors will continue to try and run.
When we stop and reverse the direction it will then quit.
Also when cutting it begins to drift and get out of square, almost like jumping teeth.
Anyone have advice on what to look for or how to fix.
Thanks

Not familiar with TM however if it is using stepper drives try switching the drives. Plug right motor into left driver and left motor into right driver. Machine will run in the opposite direction like this but will give you the opportunity to determine if the problem stays on the same side or moves to the other side. Stays on the same side its the motor. Moves to the other side its the driver.

Steppers don't move without signals BUT if you have bed connection on one coil it will sit an vibrate and freewheel at the end of a move and cause really ugly motion issues. Swapping motors tells you if its the motor / cable or the driver .
