Aluminum cutting advice?
I may have a job soon that would require cutting some 3/8" plate. Anyone have some tips or lessons learned that may make things go more smoothly? I have a PM85 with a LDR with a water table. Thanks.

Good morning
I have cut several jobs out of alli, mainly 5083 in 6mm and 20mm. For the 6mm 65amps and data straight from the hypertherm book. There are setting for 3/8" plate at 65amps. I do not have a water table and cannot tell you if it is an advantage or not. I use the best cut speeds and have no problems. On the thicker material you get some taper so keep an eye on that.
